I tend to stick mine in water with liquid feed to start with just to get the roots growing well and then pot

I created 13 new plants from one spider plant last year and took them all into work for my friends to help themselves. They were snapped up in less than 5 minutes and now there are more babies on the way! I waited until the babies were about 2", then took them off and popped them in a glass of water for a couple of days before popping them in their own little pots. Some of them are still in the office and doing really well.
Unfortunately I left the mother plant out in our garden too long last year and the frost got to it....R.I.P Mama Spider Plant.

Wait a bit longer, and each baby will start to develop little roots. Then just cut it off from its stem. Good luck.
