It is almost July and the drupes on my stagshorn sumach tree have not opened and do not look healthy, is the tree dying and if so, why?? Have had it many years and have done nothing different this year!

Looks like a lovely specimen, hope its ok. Maybe a bit more sunshine and warmth will encourage it to open up!
Failing that have you had a close look at the buds....is there a fungal infection or critters at loose in the bud?
