Ailing rhodendron

My rhodedendron's leaves are all drooping and the flower buds, of which there are plenty, have not opened. Is there any remedy for this or is it beyond redemption. It is about ten years old and has been beautiful until this year. Does it need feeding, if so with what.

You don't say if the rhododendron is in a tub or the ground. If it is in a tub when did you last feed? The compost will have little or no nutrient by now.
Whether in pot or ground lightly fork in some ericacious, acidic, soil improver and water with something like tomato feed to see if you can pull the shrub round.
