the tomatoes seem to have split into two main stems in both cases this is just above the flowers, is this right or should I be removing one of the stems or is this normal growth. would appreciate any help. thanks

As your tomatoes have a twin stem, grow them on, supporting them on one cane with ties. Stop the main shoot when they are high enough for you, (4 to 5 trusses).

This often happens to me too. I just pinch out the weaker looking of the two stems. Hope you get a good crop!
