Hi. I really love Cosmos. Somebody told me to grow them from seed like an anual. But I have seen them sold in pots as a perennial. I would like some in my garden but not sure which type to get. Can anybody help?

The annual Cosmos are, IMHO, the better as you get the light colours and light green leaves. The perennial one, Chocolate Cosmos, is heavier looking in both flower and leaf. You can almost leave it to come up every year. The annual Cosmos you need to collect the seed heads and sow them early every year. I have not had them self seed but am told that they do in drier sunnier summers!
