why are the leaves on my walnut tree turning brown

it was purchased early last season from a nursery and seen to settle well into a raised bed but this season it looks as though it is dying. the surrounding wall is concrete, could this possibly be the problem.

It's probably too dry as it's in a raised bed and hasn't got its roots down to the water table yet.
