Can anyone put the correct name to these plants. As you can see I have a white and pink variety. Each has formed a clump abouit 20inch across. Each stem coming from the clump is about 1.3 metre high. They are perennial and die back each year to a mound just above ground level.

My first thoughts were those tall Veronicas you can grow from seed or get in the garden centre and come in pink, blue or white.
Stand to be corrected tho !!!

Agree with bamboo, this spiraea is good for screening awkward areas and can be used to create a nice hedge, however it can be a bit of a thug if allowed to, can be very invasive with all the suckers, easy to propagate though.

Ahh, I knew I should have asked Bamboo... I have the pink variety growing in the front garden, through the hedging that surrounds the garden.
I have been wondering what it was. I have also been aware that I know it but cannot put a name to it.
Fox has the answer, and I have too. A result all round.

What's the white flowered one though, Fractal cat - I still think its another Spiraea, but don't know which...

The pink one looks like Spiraea billardii 'triumphans' - not sure about the other one.
