My scimmia is dying- what can I do?

I have had this shrub for about 10 years and it has been great but it now seems to be dying gradually. It is near a soakaway drain which floods sometimes. Could this be a reason, as we have had such a wet winter?

Quite likely it has come to the end of it's life span, plants have lifespans too!!
