dividing plants

is it the right time to divide primulas and cowslips ? or should i wait ? any help will be great thanks, Tony

I would not lift and divide primulas or cowslips at the moment. I would wait until they have finished flowering and then wait until the weather is cool and damp rather than hot and dry. Last summer I could have divided almost anytime but I think the forcasters are promising a better summer this year.
