Primula Vialii - Do these plants need to be dead headed during the growing season, my husband has potted this plant but we are not sure if it would be better grown in the ground, we have not got a suitable moist spot etc.

If you don't have a suitable garden for this primula, Georgine, then pot cultivation is your best choice. If it were my plant I would be trying to collect seed from it to sow, therefore I would not dead-head it. If you don't want seed then you might as well tidy it up by dead-heading.
