what is this plant ive found growing in garden

Hi everyone im new to this, ive recently found a plant (only 1" high at the moment, it as a thin stem and looks a bit like umbrella arms thats are a darkish gree, i have a picture on my phone which i will upload asap to try and help identify it, i discovered it whilst i was checking my dahlias because ive planted the garden and just wanted to check if it was something i planted (bulbs,tubers,plugs and bareroot) any help would be much appreciated and i have plenty more questions to follow,thank you kindly

also other than your suggestions so far ive been told it could be a lupin just to update the feedback ive had from neighbours, thanks for quick responses

its very slender for a lupin and it doesnt have the typical large seedleaves. not a conifer so ignore my first sugestion.
so at this moment in time I cant help.

seems bamboo could well be right then, i have it in a pot at the moment to try and find what it is lol

No, I'm not right that's definitely not a yew! No idea what it is, but it's good you've got it in a pot in case it turns out to be the equivalent of a triffid...

But it might be a euphorbia of some kind, it's just occurred to me. Have to wait and see.
