What's up with my mint?
By Llew

As you can see, it's lush, green, healthy and very firm, but it's not growing in height and all the leaves are really quite small. I thought mint grew tall with bigger, softer leaves? At least, the last lot I had did.
Or, are there different types I don't know about?
It's got plenty of room in its pot.

It's a good sized pot, Bamboo. Definitely a 10 incher. As for the name, I have no clue. They were just some seeds in a herb garden set from woolies and in plain bags.

I sowed the seeds in March and kept them indoors. Potted them up into 3 inch cells last month but it's been in this pot about 4 or 5 weeks now. It's growing, but only in bushiness, not height.

perhaps its just not a tall variety, perhaps you could split it or take a harvest if you think its old enough, maybe the next lot will be bigger

Yours is looking better than mine! Is the pot too small for it, I mean the depth? Needs to be a minimum of 10 inches or more, pref. Unless you've bought one with 'nana' in the name (which means small)
