Verbascum - size matters.
Someone has contacted me to say their Verbascum has reached 7ft. They wondered what height would count as exceptional.
Anyone willing to enter a 'mine's bigger than yours?' contest? Thanks

I wouldn't say size matters but............ mine is bigger than that. Over 9ft and I don't think it's stopped yet.

I bought some Verbascum chiaxii alba from a seed comp. I anticipaterd the white flowers with tiny purple centres. I was lucky to get a couple of the alba, but most were the plain chiaxii, yellow. I was late pulling them out of the border. They self seeded everywhere. I had one that reached 8'6" before the flowers opened. I pulled it before it had chance to grow taller.
