Is anyone else having a poor year growing mesembryanthemums ( Livingstone Daisies ), mine are a washout, they've gone 'leggy' with all the rain and I have no splash of colour like last year : ( The ones I planted in containers are not too bad, just about recovering this week after weeks of torrential rain, have also tried a new variety this year, African Dream. These like drought conditions but are in a container, not doing bad at all, open today in the sun.
On plant
Mesembryanthemum crystallinum

Mesembs also need it very dry, they're almost succulents.

Most people are having a disappointing year with bedding but i would imagine anyone growing sun-worshipping plants such as memebs, gazanias etc are going to be ultra disappointed.
