"Blue Lawson" Conifer, do they have a short life span?

I have a 18ft, 20 year old Blue Lawson which seems to have suddenly died, thought it may be wind damage but not suffered before, a bit puzzled!

Don't know where you live, but here it's been extremely dry and very windy and conifers hate that. It was also very cold this last winter, so any of these may have affected the tree.
