Seen in a friends garden, was this climber but they did not know what it was, it must be quite hardy as it came through last winter no problem, any idea's

Sorry bigbumblebee, it definitely isn't - it's Eccremocarpus scaber - it's supposed to be an annual, but I've had mine now for 8 years ... I grew it from seed and you can still buy the seeds. Comes in red and yellow now too, but I like the orange one the best.

Yup its Eccremocarpus scaber. There are pics and sales of these on GOY.

Your climber is Campsis grandiflora. syn. Bignonia grandiflora or Chinese trumpet creeper. They can be propagated from cuttings, seed or by layering.
