When is the best time of year, and how, to obtain aplant or cutting from a wild blackberry to tansplant it in my garden

These are particularly good wild blackberries and it would be great to get them to gro at the bottom of my large garden

If you 'trace' a stem back you will find a place where it touches the ground. remove this with some of its roots and plant. be warned though it will soon take over. you will find the growing ends of the stems produce a pinkish swelling that will also root readily.
