2nd Year Asparagus - when to trim, if ever? Research says they take three years to establish. Year one I was told not to touch them at all...and just cut down when they turned brown at the end of the season. What do I do in year two? Trim some? Leave all?

Next question
Just the same, when they go brown at the end of the year. Don't be tempted to cut some for flower arranging the plant needs the energy. Watch out for self sown plants that you can grow on.
