I HAVE TWO TUBS BOTH WITH BIRD OF PARADISE PLANTS. BOTH HAVE FLOWERED WHAT DO I DO WITH THE DEAD HEADS AS THE LONG STEM TURNS BROWN AND LOOKS UGLY. DO I CUT THIS OFF AS OFTEN THE DEAD HEAD FALLS OFF?
I LIVE IN SOUTHERN SPAIN CLOSE TO THE ATLANTIC
OCEAN AND THESE PLANTS APPEAR TO LIKE THIS ENVIROMENT AS THEY FLOWER FOR MOST OF THE YEAR.

Yes, just cut off the old flowerhead as low down as possible. Also, any tatty leaves.
