I received a hibiscus bush. I water it so the plant is moderately moist and have fertilized it with a 20-20 blend of fertilizer. The leave are turning yellow and falling. The plant does develope new leaves and is blooming. My question is ...What's up with the falling leaves?

Is it a hardy Hibiscus--H. syriacus--outdoors, or a tropical one--H. rosa-sinensis--indoors?
