I have a lemon tree in a pot. It has been flowering for awhile now and the flowers are dying back to leave the small lemon fruits. these are green to start with but are then turning yellow and dropping off the tree. Until recently I kept the tree in my conservatory but, thinking it may be too hot, have recently moved the tree outside but under cover. The problem seems to be still happening. Any ideas?

Double check your watering and feeding. Allowing the tree to be stressed while the fruit is young will cause huge losses. So also will heavy feeding. Keep in mind that the tree normally sets several hundred times as much fruit as it can bring to maturity, so you can expect heavy drops of pea-sized, olive-sized, and golf-ball-sized fruit. Not a problem, as long as there is a goodly number of fruit left afterwards.
