I think my Pyracantha is suffering from a woolley aphid infestation - brownish aphids protected by fluffy wool.
What would you recommend to get rid of these intruders ?

A small infestation could be rubbed off (mind the thorns!) or blasted off with a hose or use Bayer Provado Ultimate bug killer (but in the evening to avoid the bees etc).

That sounds more like scale insect infestation - are they just on the woody parts, or on the leaves? Might be useful to post a photo to confirm either woolly aphid or scale.
