Many of my flowers have grown very tall this summer for example Verbena bonariensis planted in June has shot up to 2 metres. Is this something to do with the poor weather?
thank you

Very weather related. Best warning I can give any one with trees and shrubs in their garden is to keep control of them as best you can with this rapid growth in case we have severe autumn gales

This lush overgrowth makes plants top heavy so more support is needed, in case of gales.
