The datura can be planted outdoors or in containers but they need warm, sunny places & top soil that keeps their roots dry. Avoid compost.and manure. When outdoors they re-seed themselves but are prone to fungi in the rooting area. Most of the plant is toxic/hllucinogenic and I when researched this plant, I read that it can cause deliriousness/death. They come in leafy annuals and perennials and mine still hasn't been planted.
