My conservatory is overheating and scorching the leaves of a very generous lemon tree and wilting other plants. Does anyone have experience of conservatory film for the glass, which purports to cut out a percentage of the glare? How well does this work? Would this make it duller in Winter?

You'd be better off forking out for blinds in the ceiling - expensive, but much more efficacious and can be pulled back when its dull. I don't know anyone who's tried the film you're talking about, everyone I know has the integral blinds.
