I have a large hydrangea bush which has never flowered in over 12 years. It is the lacecap variety. Do hydrangeas like a dry site or do they like quite a lot of water? It looks very health. I have used peat and ericaceous compost around it and fed it with hydrangea food.

They prefer a moist soil. Are you pruning it? Pruning at the wrong time of year can cut off all the potential flowering shoots.

Welcome to GoY Llanferres:
Sounds like it is too well cared for...Stop feeding it as excessive feed can cause non flowering.
