Oh Disaster!
Having blog'd yesterday about my slow tomatoes, I have now found a few patches of rot on some of the stems, will cutting the affected ones out help. This sometimes happens later in the summer but this is so early, can only be the cool and wet weather.

What a shame, Lizziebee! The tomatoes are really late this year - it has been so dull. I often continue harvesting my Gardener's Delight right up until October, so I think there's time for them to ripen.

I think removing all the affected stems is essential, and then bin them with the non-recyclable rubbish, don't compost them or put them in the green bin. I'm not sure what else you can do - someone else may be able to give you better advice.

Good luck!

Just saw your blog, by the way. The beans are fantastic. Mine have been decimated by snails and are only just beginning to set a very few flowers.
