I need to kill Elder trees plus roots.How do I do it

The quickest way is to cut them down, and dig out the roots or get a stump grinder to remove the stumps. If you do not have the access room for this machine, or this could be too costly? then cut down and apply stump killer immediately and cover stumps, but remember they will take a long time to rot down.
