Hi again, could someone tell me, when i plant bedding,campanlua etc and i have bulbs in the garden to what happens if i plant on top of bulbs that havent come through, i know this might sound stupid but was just curious,thanks everyone

Answers
if the bulbs are underground they are safe. if you dig any up by mistake put them back down. if you cut any then they should be removed or they will rot and increase the risk of fungal infection in the other bulbs. if they are autumn flowering they will grow up through the bedding.

thanks seaburn, so, if they grow up through the said bedding, ill just have a mix of bedding and bulbs together? sounds good to me :-)

i sometimes do this in spring with tulips and forget-me-nots, wallflowers etc.

This is a very good reason for planting your bulbs even more deeply than the instructions say. Then you can plant happily on top of them without harming them!

thats a good one Ive wondered that too, think aslong as you dont disturb or hurt the bulbs they will be fine and probably grow around whatever else you plant
seems logical to me BUT could be wrong
