We have a hawthorn and beech hedge dividing the main part of the garden from the vegie patch . It produced 3 flowers last year for the first time and none this year. Con anyone tell me why? It was planted 6 yrs ago and appears healthy

Are you cutting it to keep it hedge shaped? It might be you're removing flowering growths when you do. And if so, there's not too much you can do about that, really.
