i have planted two clemetis either side of my french doors over a week ago, i added bonemeal to the soil and one has sprouted quite a lot of shoots and the other hasn't done anything

hi thanks for your answer but the plant that was not growing, and one of the two buds that was on it has gone brown now, do you think i should dig it out and plant something else?

I would cut them both to the ground and keep watered, as I do think you are expecting results too quickly. Clematis are well known for taking their time.

Far too early to see results, as long as they are planted deep enough and watered I would not worry yet.
