This should be pruned after flowering, only taking out the old wood, any new shoots should be left, because this is the wood that will provide the flowers next year, Derek.

If you didn,t prune after flowering, I would leave it alone this year, prune after flowering next year.
I,m sure that by doing this you will have flowers next year. Derek

It is odd, I have baby ones from cuttings taken last year and they have flowered.

I'm pretty sure Marie has been cutting off the flowering shoots. They flower on the previous year's growth. This is why you prune immediately after flowering. Cut off the flowered shoots and any really old wood then, and you will see in a few weeks that lots of new growth appears. This is what will bear next year's flowers.

Do you prune it at all?
