My friend has a cotoneaster growing against her fence that in May/June is covered in bees of all varieties. The shrub is evergreen, about a metre tall and has a spread of around two metres. It's flowers don't seem to have petals but remain as small pink pearls all along the stems. I can't seem to identify this variety. I have already bought two cotoneasters which I thought were the same one but both turned out not to be. They don't attract bees the same and their flowers open up fully to display white petals. I'm fast running out of planting space now so i don't really want to make another mistake. Can anyone point me in the direction of the variety I'm looking for?

Which are the two varieties you've already bought? Probably quicker than listing several varieties for you without knowing that...
