We regularly cut out a little of the red growth as it turns green, that way there will always be new red growth coming. Our Red Robin has been red all season. Enjoy.

Not seen one like that before Robert. They can get rather large. So they need cutting back from time to time. We lost our battle with Red Robin intruding onto a path. Like Rosie seems to be saying, keep snipping in order to keep it red and under control.
