Is there a strimmer without string?

Hello all, I have about has enough of strimmers & cannot seem to sort out the string for them. The last straw happened when I strimmed my leg as the string flew out - very painful. Does a strimmer exist that does not use string & has a permanent blade? Many thanks.

Try the garden centre or sometimes a hardware store. Or you could always switch to shears...

Yes you can get them at a good garden centre or Google strimmers for cordless types, there is a good selection on various websites.

Brushcutters there called, specialist tool shops do they, also heavy duty in arboricultural departments

There are metal and rigid plastic cutters for strimmers, but you should wear protective clothing at all times.
