I have just bought 6 cuttings of Hidcote Beauty - my all time favourite, but am not sure whether it is hardy enough to winter out in Cheshire. The cuttings are still in 6" pots and are all in flower.

As you say your plants are in flower now, I assume you mean fuchsia Hidcote Beauty and not Erythronium Hidcote Beauty. If you do mean the fuchsia, its classed as H2, which means its tender, so will need to be kept in a warm greenhouse or room over winter.

Many thanks. Yes, it is Fuchsia Hidcote Beauty. I had hoped to be able to plant them outside. As I don't have a greenhouse at present I will have to bring them indoors.

How do I say thanks?
