Smoke Bush and Aucuba Crotonofolia Planting Questions.
I have tried to plant these from cuttings many times but was unsuccessful but finally I found them in Dobbies and have spent some money on both of them and bought them. I now am afraid that I may lose them so need advice on how to plant and where to plant (need full sun or partial sun). dry soil or watery soil.

If you can, put the cotinus where the sun will shine through the leaves at some part of the day! It makes them seem to glow.

Aucuba prefer partial shade, and can be grown in any soil as long as it isn,t waterlogged.
Cotinus, {smoke bush} like a moderately fertile, moist but well drained soil, and purple leaved varieties are best in full sun, hope this helps, Derek.
