CLIMING PLANTS .

WHAT ARE THE BEST AND QUICKEST CLIMING PLANTS, I HAVE A BIG WALL AT THE BACK OF THE HOUSE AND WANT TO COVER IT IF I CAN. I HAVE PUT HONEY SUCKLE ON 1 PARET OF THE WALL BUT ITS TAKEING ITS TIME,. SO THOUGHT THERE MIGHT BE A PLANT THATS QUICKER . THANKS

I agree with Inverglen - there are very rapid growing climbers, like the mile a minute vine, that you'll be regretting for years to come. Even Jasmine gets 30 feet, twines all round itself and everything else within reach. I would suggest virginia creeper, as long as the wall you're talking about isn't someone's house wall, or even near a house wall - it'll be in the guttering and the attic within 2 years otherwise.

I am not going to suggest a plant. I am going to leave that to others . All I will say is be careful which plant you choose because some that are quick are too quick. They become so rampant that they are hard work for years to come. I know that may sound a bit negative but I am sure that many experienced gardeners have planted climbers that they have regretted a few years later.
