Have been away for a week so was keen to get back to see how things were going in the garden.
Was overjoyed to see that my first stab at growing lupins was bearing fruit (or flowers to be exact) then disaster! I tripped and fell on them… so now only have one flowerhead left… boo hoo :-(

oh had to laugh sorry,they will come back stronger next year,mine did after i mowed over them last year by accident and i had been so careful growing them from seed

Oh Rhanni, thats a shame, I would have been upset and yes probably cried as well, at least it will flower again, they do seem to heal quicker than us when a stem is broken, so better it that you....

They break so easily Rhanni. I put a cover over my Delphinium to keep the slugs off it and bent it in half. I have it propped up at the moment, but I think the flower head will be much smaller. We are just TOO keen!!

Oh! I'm sorry Rhanni! I'm sorry you broke your lupin... but I'm also sorry I snorted with laughter! It's just the way you wrote it, it really tickled me! If it makes you feel any better, I reached over a lily today, to pick up a tray of seedlings...and snapped one of it's heads off! Maybe a case of retrospective karma!! ;0)

I smiled too,sorry..I think most of us have done that,at some time...but its far worse,if someone ,or something else does it !
