I’m back. A week in jersey with my 8 year old son.
Great place, Great gardens. Huge plants!
Shame about the wimp I was with………..
Cant believe a son of mine would refuse a pillion ride on a Harley motor bike. He’s been on the back of my fazer, but even with a promise not to go above 20 miles an hour wasn’t interested!
Even the cycle hire place man said after he made a fuss about not borrowing a tag-a-long that he was destine too be an artist, not sure what that meant!
Told him before we go anywhere again, he is going to have to learn to be brave enough to try things.
Took me an hour to persuade him to try out the water slide, then after about 30 go’s, an hour to got him to come off!

Up date on Alex. His appointment for a head scan came through in 2 days.
8 o’clock Monday morning I took him to the hospital, only to be told he was old enough to do these things on his own. So left him……..
Phoned him after lunch to see how he got on, only to be told that one look at the machine and he couldn’t go through with it. Too much radiation! He hasn’t said about headaches since. But then I haven’t seen a lot of him.
Kids they drive you mad.

I loved the rugged landscape. lots of rocks and castles!

This was a real success! got him to ride the blue bus/boat in the background but he made me wait 2 hours to walk the courseway back, cos he didn’t like it! Great walk though, got wet feet in the wake of the boat which he loved.

these plants I found fascinating don’t know what they are but they must have been 8 foot tall.
