I have worms!!

I have decided to make an effort to be more environmentally active, and am busy creating a neat comport corner in my yard, and I bought two small worm farms. And what a fun, interesting venture it has turned out to be. I have had the worm farms a month now, so haven’t harvested anything yet, but in a few more weeks, things will be happening. I have one farm for kitchen waste, which will produce leachate, and another for dog doop, which will produce castings. Then watch my garden bloom. Well, that is of course if my dogs leave any plants to grow long enough to produce blooms.

If you have worms, I suggest paying the Doctor a visit. Get some medication.

Hahaha Alextb.
I have had the farms for about a month so hopefully should be able to harvest some castings or leachate in about another month. In the meantime i use commercial liquid foliar spray and Rosecare. Plants are looking good. Those that have survived the dogs.

I have never had an actual worm farm but there are hundreds living in my compost bins, if your worms work as hard as mine do you will have some good stuff to spread next year....Having dogs here I know what its like sharing a garden with them, lol...

It will be interesting to see the results of your compost. I hope you show us some photos next year :)
And I hope the dogs leave some plants alone for you :)
