The Aster takes its name from the latin word meaning star referring to the flower's attractive star-like head. Aster Matsumoto has layers of bold coloured petals surrounding its yellow centre making it eye-catching even from across the garden! The Matsumoto variety is known for its resistance to Aster Wilt and its excellent stem and flower quality so these will make a wonderful addition to your garden or vase.

Planting Requirements: Using a good potting compost fill your containers ready for your plugs plants. Transplant them into larger pots or containers to help with their leaf and root growth as they can quickly become weak and spindly if deprived of sufficient space to grow. Take care potting them on making sure all the roots are covered. Once all your plants have been potted on water them gently to avoid causing damage to the plants. These plants need to be hardened off for 10-14 days in a greenhouse cloche or coldframe as they need to acclimatize to lower temperatures and wind. After this process they will be ready to be planted out in your garden beds or containers. Avoid your plants from drying out but do not over water.
