Unusual cross between the sweet and the sour (Morello) cherries, producing prolific early crops of deliciously tangy fruit, combining the best characteristics of both parents. Sweet enough to eat fresh when fully ripe, it also preserves well and makes delicious jam, pies or liqueurs.Pollination: This cherry is self-fertile (flowering group 3) but may be planted with any other of our cherry varieties (in flowering groups 2, 3 or 4) to ensure best pollination. Instances of poor pollination are nearly always caused by bad weather at blossom time, limiting the activity of insects.Planting distance: 5m (16ft) Approximate height 4m (13ft) after 10 years.
