This very new introduction is one of the most cold-resistant bamboos available. Known commonly as the 'Fountain Bamboo', which accurately describes the tightly packed canes at the foot and fountaining evergreen foliage at the top of each clump. It's a compact, clump-forming variety, making it ideal for borders (you don't need to worry that it will take over your garden!) or a container on the patio, and the slender, light green canes are sheathed in pink on the young growth. Height 1-2m (31/2-7'). Supplied in a 17cm pot. Part of our Tropical Garden range of tropical plants. You don't have to live in the tropics to create a tropical garden.
