Urban Collection -Broad Bean Statissa (Vicia faba) is ideal in containers. Pick regularly for delicious mangetout pods to eat raw or steamed or allow pods to fill out with tasty small beans.

Cropping:
June to September

Sowing:
Sow seeds from March to May.
Sow seeds thinly direct outside or in containers 3cm deep in rows 45cm apart. Alternatively space sow seeds in a bucket-sized container.

Growing:
As plants mature they may require staking with hazel twigs or canes to help support the crop.

Aftercare:
Keep well watered during dry weather.
