Buy both varieties 1 bush each of: -Gooseberry Invicta -Gooseberry Hinnonmaki Red. Invicta Crops twice as heavily as most other varieties with large pale green berries which are highly resistant to mildew. Excellent choice for cooking freezing and jam as the fruit holds its shape and colour well. Ready for picking from late May. Hinnonmaki Red A hardy mid-season variety producing a heavy crop of medium to large roundish fruit which has an excellent rather aromatic flavour. When fully ripe the fruit is usually sweet enough to eat fresh but probably best grown as a culinary variety making it perfect for pies and fools.
