A bushy evergreen shrub that forms mounds of aromatic, grey-green, serrated foliage. From mid summer small, button-like, creamy primrose flowers appear and seem to hover on wiry, upright stems. A beautiful plant for a gravel or Mediterranean-style garden, where it will provide structure. The flowers are attractive to bees, but the leaves are said to repel moths.Garden care: Remove the faded flowerheads along with any straggly shoots in autumn. In early spring cut back the flowered shoots to within 2.5cm (1in) of the old growth.
