This clever trug allows you to grow vegetables in really small spaces like balconys and patios. It is also ideal if you have a bad back as the bed is at a comfortable working height, which means you are not having to constantly bend over. You can use it to grow an assortment of goodies including herbs, salad crops, strawberries, and because it had a deep central trough, it can also house root vegetables like carrots and parsnips. Features: Sourced from sustainable plantation F.S.C. grown fir, the VegTrug will last for many years. It has a solid, sturdy and robust construction and the wood has been treated with a vegetable-friendly stain. It has protective plastic feet, which will stop the legs from drawing up water. The easy working height is ideal for the elderley or wheelchair users, and will help keep slugs and snails away from the crop. Each VegTrug comes with a purpose built, fitted membrane liner to aid in water retention and stop compost loss. It can easily be netted or covered with fleece (not supplied) if necessary.
