Introduced by Lubera in 2009 this variety produces some of the largest, juiciest gooseberries ever! It shows good disease reistance, producing healthy, very upright growth, and a heavy crop of very large, smooth-skinned, dark red fruit. The aroma and flavour is exquisite. Suited to most soils. Crops from mid June. Supplied in a 5 litre pot. Lubera varieties - Lubera is a Swiss nursery owned by Markus Kobelt. This man is passionate about fruit, and he has continually strived to create new and improved varieties, always with the goal of producing plants that are easier to cultivate (all will thrive in the UK climate), more resistant to disease and always better tasting too.
