A relative of the ever-popular rhododendron, this beautiful hardy shrub will thrive in a moist, acidic soil in full sun. Ideal for border or in a large container of ericaceous compost on the patio, it boasts glossy green leaves, and an early summer display of exquisite crimped buds which burst open to reveal large pink blooms. RHS Award of Garden Merit winner. Flowers May-June. Mature height 2.5m. Supplied as a potted plant.
